Scribbles Pizza House

 I worked with Scribbles Pizza House on the refurbishment of their restaurant. I designed a series of eleven A2 canvasses and designed and hand painted a wall mural on the restaurant interior.

Each of the canvasses features different items of food and drink, complementing the restaurant menu. I created different illustrations for each canvas, chose colours to suit each one and kept the layout consistent throughout. Scribbles caters to a wide range of customers, serving coffee and homemade cakes in the morning and afternoon, and catering italian style lunches and dinner. It is a family friendly restaurant, but also prides itself on being the perfect spot for adults to meet and dine, with an extensive cocktail menu, and range of wines and local beers on tap. The restaurant had to feel welcoming to all ages, from morning coffees through to evening meals. The fun line illustrations, paired with limited colour use and a simple layout keeps the balance between formal and informal.

I designed and hand painted a mural on one of the restaurant walls. The client wanted a simple, black and white illustration, to complement the wall canvasses. The wall itself is in the middle of the restaurant, where the tables are more orientated towards meals than coffees and cakes, so I used a more food based theme, featuring classic italian ingredients. I used a projector to trace my initial sketch onto the wall and used this as a guide to complete the painting.
